The Kootenay Rockies is a pristine region of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, beaches, mineral hot springs, alpine meadows and snow-capped mountains. Four of British Columbia's seven national parks are located here.

In the summer you can hike, climb, camp and golf. Pristine lakes and rivers are ideal for canoeing, swimming, boating, fishing, water-skiing, and whitewater rafting. In winter, go skiing and snowboarding, or backcountry skiing. There are also four national parks to explore, along with many provincial parks.
