The resort's beach serves as a great sunning spot and as a springboard to a world of water-sports fun. Sanibel and neighboring Captiva Island offer some of the world's finest shelling, as each tide brings bountiful treasures to shore. Complimentary bikes enable you to explore the island. The J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge covers more than 4,000 acres on the north side of Sanibel and protects more than 200 species of birds.

Casa Ybel Beach

Casa Ybel Beach and Racquet Club is set on 23 tropical acres, with more than a quarter-mile of private beach. The three-story lodges offer terraces that overlook the Gulf of Mexico. On-site are an Olympic-sized heated pool, a wading pool, a poolside bar, and a heated spa. Guests also can enjoy six tennis courts, barbecue grills, and the Thistle Lodge Waterfront Bar and Grill restaurant.

This 10-unit private enclave includes two- and three-bedroom villas, each with state-of-the-art interior furnishings; private pool with spa; elevator; covered parking; and boat docks. Guests will delight in the views of the Yacht Harbour, while enjoying all the amenities that South Seas Island Resort has to offer. Arrangements must be made in advance for boat dockage or nearby trailer parking, for which there is a weekly fee.

South Seas Island

Experience a vacation in a villa on the bay side of Captiva Island. Part of the South Seas Resort, Plantation Bay Villas is situated on Bryant's Bayou, a quiet waterfront setting. A Gulf of Mexico beach is just a short walk away. South Seas Resort has its own yacht harbor, boat ramp, and marina. In addition to boat and bicycle rentals, cars are also available to rent on-site. Other amenities at the resort include a sailing school, a tennis center, a nine-hole golf course, three outdoor pools, a picnic area, and a gift shop.

Plantation Beach Club

The beachfront units of Plantation Beach Club are located in a spectacular setting within South Seas Island Resort on the western shore of Captiva. Breathtaking sunsets end idyllic days filled with fun on the shell-strewn beach, lounging by the pool, or playing on the tennis court. Guests may opt for access to additional South Seas Island Resort amenities, including a fitness center, restaurants, trolley, nine-hole, par-3 golf course, Lagoon Pool complex, and kids' club recreation center, by paying a daily resort fee to South Seas.
