Resort Description:
Poovar means the "River of Flowers". This unexplored island of Poovar is situated in southern Kerala and is very close to Trivandrum city. Places to visit include the Neyyar Dam, Meen Mutti waterfalls and the Kovalam Beach.The resort is enveloped by serene backwaters and opens out to the sea ontothe sandy beaches.The land is rich in well-preserved local flora with various varieties of spices,exotic flowers dense banana and coconut groves.The resort has floating cottages which replicate traditional Kerala architecture. Cottages are built on hollow concrete hulls & each one is connected to island by a bridge.
