The Canaltime Houseboats remain at their mooring site at all times, as they do not have any method of propulsion. As they are moored at Nottingham Marina, however, the houseboats offer a great location from which to explore the surrounding area. A short walk along the towpath will take you to the Sheriff of Nottingham's Castle and the city center. There are four restaurants within walking distance of the marina, and the nightlife caters to all ages. It is also possible to explore the Peak District, which is 30 miles away.
