There are two major mountain ranges in Italy, the Alps and the Apennines. The Alps run west to east across Northern Italy and share borders with France, Switzerland and Austria. The Apennine Mountains run 1000km north to south along Italy’s eastern coast.

In all its territorial variety, Italy boasts a large number of beautiful and evocative mountain localities, ideal for visiting any time of year, whether summer or winter. Appartamenti di Marilleva

Marilleva , Italy

Apartments of Marilleva 1400 are situated in the purpose built ski centre of Marilleva. The ski lifts are directly outside the complex and all the sports, restaurant, amusement and accommodation facilities are in, interconnected buildings. There is a daytime mini-club for children. Winter skiing is extensive with over 150km of linked pistes and 8km of cross-country trails. Summer activities include skiing at Passo Tonale, walking, horse riding and canoeing. In Torrent Noce you can experience kayak rafting and hydrospeed at Dimaro Canoa Club.

Bachlaufen Haus

Sesto Pusteria, Italy

Bachlaufen Haus is a small, typical Austrian style chalet in Sesto (1310m) at the end of the Val Pusteria in Alto Adige region near the Austrian border. The whole area is full of ski lifts and is included in the famous Dolomiti Super ski pass. As well, Moos offers more variety and S. Candido also has a toboggan run. During the winter the ski school also organises courses for children. In summer there are excursions throughout the beautiful Italian Dolomites, marked walking trails and rock climbing. Brunico, Cortina d'Ampezzo and the romantic setting of Lago Braies are nearby.

Badia di Campoleone Green

Steeped in history and dating back to the Middle Ages, Badia di Campoleone is situated in the secluded Tuscan countryside, and set within its own well-tended gardens. Mercatale Cortona, Italy

Located only 20 minutes from the beautiful town Cortona and lake Trasimeno, this self contained Hamlet is set in 12 hectares of ancient oaks, chestnuts and olive groves, deep in the Tuscan countryside - ideal for relaxing or sightseeing. Arezzo, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Assisi, and Perugia are all within an hours drive. Florence and Rome are within easy reach by train. Alba di Canazei, Italy

Casa Canazei (1520m) is situated in the heart of the Dolomites, where in winter, you can ski on the slopes of Val di Fassa, and in summer on the nearby Marmolada glacier. This is one of the villages from where the famous Sella Ronda starts (Dolomiti Superski area). The resort is in a quiet area. The village of Canazei offers restaurants, bars, shopping, discos, swimming, ice skating and cross-country skiing in winter, and rock climbing, horse-riding, fishing, walking and excursions in the summer. On-site there is a bar, sauna, taverna, solarium and whirlpool.

Nova Levante, Italy

Casa Carezza (1630m) is situated in the mountain village of Carezza, in the Dolomite Alto Adige region, 27km from Bolzano. The Dolomites are renowned for their spectacular scenery. In winter high standard ski runs are available. More advanced ski runs can be reached by car (Superski Dolomites area). Summer activities include mountain walks (including the famous Sissi Promenade), horse-riding and a 9-hole golf course. Casa Carezza is built in the style of the traditional wood clad chalets.

Cavalese, Italy

Situated in the beautiful Dolomites, the small town of Cavalese (1000m) offers excellent winter skiing. The wide skiing area known as Pampeago/Obereggen is only 30km away by car. In summer, the whole Val di Fiemme region is a paradise for lovers of hiking, climbing, riding, and fishing. The two chalet-style buildings of Casa Cavalese are near the town centre, close to bars, restaurants, the indoor swimming pool, and year-round ice-skating rink. On-site there is a bar and tavern, sauna, solarium, and jacuzzi.

Santa Cristina Val Gardena, Italy

Casa Metz is set amidst glorious mountain scenery in the popular Val Gardena ski area of the Dolomites. The resort is within easy reach of 175 kilometers of ski slopes, known as the Sellaronda, accessible with a Dolomite Superski pass. Day-trips are possible to Venice and Lake Garda, as well as Bolzano, home of the 5,000-year-old Ice Mummy.
